Highlighted Business of the Week

Castlemaine

Kasu (a Sanskrit word meaning light or lustre) is a one-woman micro-business, and the name Beverley Bloxham has been using for the past decade for her practice of investigating, sharing and exhibiting traditional textile crafts of India through her tours, collection, and shop.

Kasu is on a mission to make the world a better place by the shopping and travel choices they make. Through their shop, Kasu Emporium, they import fair trade, handmade and ethically sourced products.

Kasu are committed to being a part of the change to create sustainable incomes for our makers. They also like to share their good fortune with 10% of the profits going to help people living in poverty.

Their handmade Kasu Tours take small groups to the lesser known regions of India guided by strong, sustainability, ethical and child protection policies.
